Error 5986

when I log onto a user I receive an error that says "
Microsoft Visual Basic Run time error 5986 this command is
not available on an unsaved document" and then there are
three option buttons to choose from, END, DEBUG, HELP

What do you think the problem is? It seems as if a
program is running and wont shut.
