I have been able to burn CD-Rs on my laptop in the past but recently my
itunes and other burning applications have not recognized blank discs I have
put in the drive. When I press the burn button in itunes it says please enter
a blank disc, even when one is already in there. Even when I first put a
black disc in, nothing happens on my computer. Can anybody help me?

Is the drive listed and showing as working in Device Manager?
Try a CD/DVD drive lens cleaner CD which can be purchased at just about any place
that sells computers.
