Hi,

My name is Todd and I'm with Dell's online outreach program to help customers via blogs and forums. Are you sure that the user account you're using to add the hardware has full administrative rights? Or it's possible that something is blocking admin rights on the system.

That would be my first guess from reading your post. Any luck trying to go into Safe Mode and installing the drivers CD from there?

You may also want to check to make sure that the Windows installer service is turned on in services. (Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services)

Let me know if any of this helps and if not we'll see what else we can try.

Thank you,

Todd
