For the past few months, there seems to be a very tight supply of Socket A/Socket 462 MICRO-ATX motherboards in general distribution. Can't find any at Newegg, CDW, TigerDirect or any of my wholesale suppliers. I can get them for 50 bucks on Pricewatch and 35 on eBay but I hate going outside my normal suppliers. Fear of the unknown, you know.

Before I go those routes, I want to make sure I'm not missing something.

All the major manufacturers have mATX boards listed as current but I cna't find their stuff in distribuition. Why is there such a shortage of 35 to 45 dollar boards?

Does anyone have a reliable supplier they can recommend that has them in stock?

Thanks!

I think its more a supply and demand situation for online/retail stores.
Not many people are looking for socket A anymore....ergo it takes longer to
move them off the shelves....why bother stocking them
But you should be able to "special order" the mobo of your choice providing
they still make it.
