View Full Version : PCMCIA installation ?

June 22nd 07, 04:18 AM
I am trying to install the pcmcia card for use with a webcam. I'm
running WinXP, and the only steps I've taken are to try and install it
automatically. I get a response that the proper software was not
found, and that's as far as I've gotten. It was a gift from a friend,
so I'm not sure if there was an installation CD at one point. Also I'm
not sure if I need to install drivers to get it to work, or how to do
that. The hardware is something called Real Capture for Zoomed Video
by Sigma Designs. Is there a free download of the proper software ? (I
checked the website=worthless) Do I need to install a new driver? How
do I do that?

thanks in advance,
Noah

video is at the top of the "driver difficult" list... most pre XP video
drivers don't work in XP, and the fact that it's pcmcia based would tend
to indicate that it's a pretty old camera interface. If the unit was
not in production when XP came out, it's pretty unlikely that drivers
are available.

google for the

make model# XP driver download

which should indicate if there's anything available.
