No Icons Showing in my network places

Hello everyone

My problem which I have been having for a while now is that my computer will
not show networked node icons in its network places. My network comprises,
computer A, Computer B and Computer C.

Computer B and Computer C can see and interact with each other perfectly
however Computer A which is connected to a router just wont show the other
nodes, or show the nodes of itself, e.g. computer A my documents which are
shared are not shown in network places of computer A, only as unspecifed,
unclickable icons.

Its definately not the router because this problem has been existant from
the time I had a access point too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been trying to solve this
problem on and off for nearly a year now.
