Copy Paste problem

At first thought it would seem to me that in IE, you are
selecting text that is actually a bitmap, and then
copying it. Word is then thinking its a picture and is
trying to download it from the net. Unfortunately, i fail
to see what could be causing this in other programs (but
you don't mention what they are)
