View Full Version : XP Safe Mode

When taking delivery of a new "out of the box" machine (XP Pro SP1
pre-installed by the OEM) I noticed that it would not boot in safe mode.
It went through some of the motions a la style of Win NT e.g. line per line
indication of what it was doing but would always stop - I can't recall where
exactly.
Anyway, as the machine was needed very urgently by a new arrival to the
company (and as it booted fine in normal mode) I installed it at his desk.
Now 4 weeks later we have a logon problem and - guess what - I cannot boot
it in safe mode.
Any ideas/input greatly appreciated.
TIA

One would assume said machine came with a warranty, may I suggest you avail
yourself of it?

Maybe you should contact the manufacturer?
