I have some .avi files that used to play in WMP 11 (in XP SP2). Now,
they don't work. I do recall trying to install a codec and getting an
error. I think that is when they stopped working. I tried doing an
uninstall and I installed the DIVX 6 package. The videos work fine in
the DIVX player, but in WMP there is only sound, no video. Any
ideas? I put the video info down below.

Get the package from www.xvidmovies.org which has a good 4cc decoder.

One thing is missing i Windows, a small program to repair corrupt codec
installation. This even if the user have done some errors by installation of
other codec packages.
Rigth now is the only way to do it, by starting all over, using a blank
harddisk and reinstall windows!!!
