Microsoft Products and Piracy Issues!!

Is piracy a thing of the past as far as Microsoft products are
concerned? We have had WGA and Activation for sometime now so MS
products should be "piracy proof".

I remember vividly MS telling us that WGA is designed to "protect"
genuine customers. Does this mean product prices will now be reduced
because everybody is buying genuine MS products? Or was this just
another MS gimmick to make our life hell by forcing us to install
unnecessary patches for its own pleasure.

Yes.

No software, movie, etc is piracy proof. It is, and always will be, a
cat and mouse between anti-piracy schemes and black hat hackers (or
more accurately crackers).

The latter of course. "Pro" pirates of Microsoft products now offer a better
'customer experience' for Microsoft software users than Microsoft themselves
do, down to the hoops Microsoft expect paying customers to jump through.

They obviously can't compete with Free software on price and Apple are doing
quite well out of charging much less for their products but treating the
customers with respect and producing something that people actually want to
have. As much as I think people who queue for hours to get _any_ new
operating system are rather sad, you've got to admit that Apple sure knows
how to make products that people are prepared to wait out in the cold all
night to buy.

Yep, Apple really knows how to bend them over and put it to the
customer! I bet Microsoft wishes they had iPhone, $600 and a locked
phone company. Yep like they say, "fool and their money"!

Since you can't buy the Apple operating system without buying a complete
computer, I don't see a valid arguement at all.

Please tell me where you get the computer without the operating system.
The requirement is that you have the macintosh computer and that came
with the operating system installed. You can buy an "upgrade". As you
can see, Apple has a lock on that little game already.
