View Full Version : Windows Task Manager is a Blank Window

Bob L.[_2_]

The Task Manager does not show any toolbar buttons on the top of the window
or status bar at the bottom. There are no buttons for Applications,
Processes, Performance, Networking or Users. It is just a blank window with
applications that are running. There is no (X) to close the window. What
could be causing this problem and how could I make the repair.

Thanks, Bob

Hi Bob,

It sounds as though Task Manager is running in "Tiny Footprint" mode.
Double-click on the border, and it will restore to normal.

Hi Curt,

Man that was a quick response and you are right on the money. I
double clicked the border and everything is back to normal. One question
though, How did I get into the :Tiny Footprint Mode".

Thanks
For Your Time, Bob

Hey Curt,

Never mind, I got it. I just wasn't clicking on the right spot
to revert it back to the "Tiny Footprint Mode".

Thanks, Bob

Bob,

I *never* know how to describe *where* to click, so I just pray that you (or
whomever) doesn't give up, and keeps clicking away until it works!

Now that we've solved the really pressing problems of the day.....

Ummm.. Double-clicking the border (actually, just inside the border) sends
it into TFM just as easily as out of it.

<BG> Hey, when everyone knows what we're talking about, why write it all out
when an acronym will do?
