old chats

hi - I closed out a chat i was having with a friend and was wondering if
there is any way to retrieve the content from it? thanks

Hello,

which Messenger version are you using?
If you have Windows Messenger, then, I think, you can't.
If you have MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger, then right-click the
contact, and click "View Message history" (or "View" -> "Message History"
for Live Messenger). The history is only stored if you have chosen to do so
(in menu Tools -> Options -> Messages).

thansk for replying. i have the messenger version and i think you are right i
cant access it. i was just hoping maybe it was temporaly stored somewhere
that i could get access to it.
