I installed Windows XP and it assigned my main drive the
letter "F". How can I change it to "C" without causing
major problems? Why did it make it "F"?

There's no way to change it, you'd have to format and reinstall.

It will work fine the way it is, so it may not be worth formatting, unless
it really irritates you.

& at a guess it did it because you had a Zip drive installed when you
installed windows?
A lesson for anybody out there listening.
Best to only have a floppy & CD hooked up & even disconnect any other hard
disks as well just for fun.
