From a previous posting:

If you are running a PC with an Intel Itanium I or Itanium II processor then
you will also be running the 64-bit version of Windows XP.
You can see this by looking at the properties of My Computer. It will tell
you if it is 64-bit and an Itanium processor.
There is also the fact that if you are a user not using a PC given to you at
a large corporate and one you purchased yourself, you would have appreciated
the $6,000 minimum cost for an Itanium based workstation from one of the few
vendors offering it.

For EVERYONE using Windows XP Home Edition - you are a 32-bit user, for the
VAST majority of Windows XP Professional users - you too are a 32-bit user.

You can now buy a complete Intel Itanium II based system with Windows XP
64-bit Edition Version 2003 for about $3300 from HP see
http://www.hp.com/workstations/itanium/ and prices continue to fall

Que pasa? This was answered twice on this page. Do you know how to
read? Did you ever think to look before you submit a question? This
question is being asked everyday and it not necessary if you would look
first. :-(
