Windows Installer wont quit

[IDAssociates Inc.]

Running Word and Outlook 2002 and seem to be getting a pattern of a request
for the program disk when I start Word. Annoying. I also have installed
MSActivesync and deleted it but it keeps reappearing under Program Files
even though I deleted it under ADD REMOVE and manually deleted it from
Program files.



Any way to repair installer and stop this misery ?

Hi,

For Word, run the edit on line 171. It stops the installer.

Thanks. Gave it a try and the very next start up of Word asked for the
disk. ????

Yes. This is the strangest thing. It is affecting ROM upgrade software
using installer also.
