I downloaded some animation clips from bluelaguna.net. They are supposedly
in DivX format, but they say .avi on the end. I have managed to make them
appear on my Windows Movie Maker after downloading both LimeLine and a DivX
player, but my clips play only sound and no picture. I have tried adding
other suffixes on the ends like .mlv or .mpeg etc. (when they ask what I
want to save them as when I download) None of these formats have video and
only a couple have sound. I can't get .wmv or .wm files to even shoe up on
my Windows Movie Maker. Thousands of people are making videos and putting
them on youtube.com so I don't see why it's such a complex and mysterious
procedure. Someone please help me! I am about to pull my hair out!

check my website's Import Movie Source Files > Video > AVI page....

Divx files are .avi... and should be converted to other files that work well
in Movie Maker.
