View Full Version : How do I transfer VHS tapes to DVD?

At the moment I am doing this with a VHS
player connected to the computer via a
"component video" cable connected to the
ComproDTV2.5 video capture card in the
computer.

Although the video is very good, the sound
seems faint and indistinct.

Is there a particular setting required for
this task?

Please help, Frank

I think you probably intended to say composite instead of component but I'll
omit that error..... which application are you using for the capture? The
red and white cables of the component cable.... are they going to a 'hub' of
the capture card or do you have an adapter to connect them to the 'line in'
of your soundcard/onboard audio?

In the application you are using, what is the audio capture source set to?
