If you want to do it the old-fashioned way, open the registry editor (Start Run REGEDIT ) and navigate to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop and double click on 'wallpaper' on the right pane and enter the full path to the wallpaper of your choice. -- Anando Microsoft MVP- Windows Shell/User http://www.microsoft.com/mvp http://www.mvps.org Folder customizations http://newdelhi.sancharnet.in/minku Protect your PC! http://www.microsoft.com/protect "user" wrote in message ... I have no idea why it does not work. You may use TweakUI to change the welcome screen wallpaper. Under TweakUI, navigate to Logon Settings and put a check next to wallpaper.
