Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme audio Sound Card
I have just installed a Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio card to replace my on board sound card on my XP SP2 system. I am not clear on how to activate the crystallization and virtual surround sound features on the Sounblaster. Is it done automatically or do I have to do it manually via software? If the latter, where are the settings? Also, how do I access the Entertainment mode I have read about in various places on the web? Thank you very much. |

An install CD which includes the software should have been provided with the adapter. Aside from installing the drivers it should also install the Creative Audio Console which is where you would configure the settings from. If it lacked an install CD you can download the suite from Creative's site. Yeah, I just wanna say thanks too. The problem's been taunting me for four hours; couldn't neither re-install or update my way out of it. All I had to do was choosing the Launcher component in the Custom menu, like you said, and reboot. Now everything's fine... :)
