Video does not have sound unless reboot

Why is it that I can not play a movie with sound unless I
reboot my computer?

Whenever I attempt to play any videos from MSN or YouTube,
there is no sound unless I reboot.

Have you tried updating your audio drivers?

I just tried that and the Intel update site indicated that
my driver was already current.

I tried uninstalling my sound driver and re-installing a
fresh download, and this may have worked. My sound has
continued to work so far. The original driver may have
become corrupted.

Although updating my audio drivers could not work because
they were already up-to-date, your suggestion lead to the
answer that did work. I uninstalled and reinstalled my audio
drivers with a fresh download, and that has now worked for
several days. So thanks for your help, it lead to the
solution to my problem.
