Viewing installed printers
When I go to control panel in Windows XP and attempt to look at installed
printers, I get error message, saying it has to close, and asking if I want to send error report. I am trying to view my printers properties so I can print a test page. Anyone have any solution or remedy? I have rebooted the computer and I still get same error message. -- JimB |
Viewing installed printers
If you have a network card on the machine you can attempt to view them "remotely". This will only work for local printers not connections to another machine Start Run \\machinename open the printers folder there. Also, some files may not be correct. At a command prompt run sfc /scannow I'm assuming the explorer process has to close. -- Alan Morris Windows Printing Team Search the Microsoft Knowledge Base he http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1 This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
