I am trying to block cnn.com from autoplaying videos.

Adblock does not work.

Is there something that does work?

Would probably help if we knew which browser and version you're using.
(I assume on XP.) [Not that _I_ am likely to be able to help, but those
who can usually like to know that at least, so they can tell you what to
try.]

NoScript seems to work with Firefox.

I found that the Disable HTML5 Autoplay extension works too.
