icons missing in windows explorer

You need to use

SUBST C: F:\

The SUBST command won't take it without the \ character, or a fully
qualified path like F:\Temp

I have windows installed on drive F. In windows explorer there are no

icons
next to the drive letters or my computer or anything for that mater. Found

a
KB article that explains this and tell me to use this subst cmd. Tried and
it doesn't work. Any ideas..

KB article is Q307028

This is what i type and get returned, I've tried it w/out the : sign as
well.

F:\subst c: f:
Invalid parameter - F:
