Any way to keep background apps in background??
I tend to be a power user and probably like most people
out there always have multiple applications and/or browser windows open simultaneously. Windows is great for this. My one big gripe, though: background apps popping up and becoming active. Is there any kind of tweak or utility that allows me to fix this? I want whatever process I'm working on in the foreground and for it to STAY in the foreground no matter what other programs are doing in the background. (This is especially a problem with multiple browser windows) Any help is greatly appreciated! THANKS! |

THANKS!!!! -----Original Message----- Hi Olen, Several options to consider: TweakUI/General/Focus http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...loads/powertoy s.asp Prevent Programs from Stealing Focus (Line 66) http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm When a window that does not have focus is updated by its program, the default setting prevents it from becoming the foremost (top) window, instead, it flashes in the taskbar. HeldUp is the easiest way to stop windows from disappearing behind other programs. http://www.johnmacintyre.ca/HeldUp.asp -- All the Best, Kelly MS-MVP Win98/XP [AE-Windows® XP] Troubleshooting Windows XP http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Top 10 Frequently Asked Questions and Answers http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/top10faqs.htm "Olen Ronning" wrote in message ...
