Copy/paste files does not work, but cut/paste works fine !?

On a laptop I cannot copy/paste files anymore.
But cut/paste works fine.
Checkdisk and SFC /scannow do not find errors.
System restore does not work (no restore points).
Anyone an idea? Thanks for helping!

How are you copying and how are you pasting? This could be a keyboard
issue but have you tried by first high-lighting the text, then pressing
CTRL+C, then Pressing CTRL+V.

OK the above method uses your keyboard keys but if they are not working
then try this:

High-Light the text;

Edit Copy

Edit Paste

this avoids using keyboard keys.

Also, if you have updated your machine with some patches then RESTART
might resolve itself. Shutting Down and Switching On is not the same as
ReStart which I am sure you are aware of this subtle difference.

No matter what method : it does not work.
Strange : copying text in a document works fine.

A restart did not help.

Is 'Copy' grayed out when you right-click on a highlighted file?
