Start | Run, type "control userpasswords2" Select the account you want
to logon to automatically. Then uncheck the box "Users must enter a
user name and password to use this computer."

Or do the same thing with TweakUI.

as a Systems Accountant and very concerned with computer security (both
commercial and personal) I cannot understand why you keep telling people
how to bypass the password system in windows without telling them of the
possible dire consequences.....

And in fact the link you posted ALSO has NO reference to the possible dire
breaches of security that having an auto-logon can bring....

Hi,
You make a good point. I believe that a home user has the right to use
autologon, but should have included a warning that any password is better
than no password and a strong password is best (well... short of BitLocker
or similar.)
