Is there any way out of this BUG?

Hello!
Few days ago, I searched the Internet as usual and
clicking on the link, I received a pop-up, a self-install
software to be exact, having an adult content. It self-
installs on the systems. The name of that software (you
probably heard of it before) is "Webdialer OnlineDialer",
dialer.exe At an instant, my ISP disconnected and this
ddialer started connecting by itself. I had no way of
stopping it by all means. What I did, I disconnected my
telephone cable from the PC system until it stopped
dialing. Next, I immediately went to "Add or Remove
Programs" and uninstalled the software which worked (I
think). Then I tried removing it from my desktop, but
unfortunately it did not. In addition, what I tried, I
clicked on it once to open it (still with my telephone
cable disconnected) and clicked "Uninstall", giving me
the the pop-up message in German I think. Furthemore, the
icon on my desktom then was able to be removed to the
trash. It made me think I removed that BUG from my system
for good. What I did next, I searched for this software
on my system to be sure I truly got rid of it. And yet my
system did not find it anyhow.
My question stands, Is this software really gone out of
my system? If not, is there any way to get rid of it? and
also, how can I prevent from this to happen again?
If you would like to read more about this. You may go to
this other newsgroup where I found almost the exact
incident. Please vist the link and have me contact
immediately with solution. Thank you. Your help is very
much appreciated.

Is there any way out of this BUG?

Greetings --

To deal with any sort of "adware" and/or "spyware," such as
Gator, Comet Cursors, Bonzai Buddy, Porn Dialers, or KaZaA that you've
deliberately (but without understanding the consequences) installed,
two products that are quite effective (at finding and removing this
type of scumware) are Ad-Aware from www.lavasoft.de and SpyBot Search
& Destroy from http://security.kolla.de/. Both have free evaluation
versions. It's even possible to use SpyBot Search & Destroy to
"immunize" your system against most future intrusions. I use both and
generally perform manual scans every week or so to clean out cookies,
etc.

It is hardly a BUG.
Download/Install/Run AdAware from Lavasoft (update reference file before
running it). That should remove it.
