reboot not working in Win10

Hi,
as object post, when i click on reboot, windows (1809) shuts down pc.

I tried in debian installed and it works. What's something wrong in
windows 10?

Thanks in advance.

There is nothing wrong in Windows 10. there is a serious problem in
your brain because no sane person would install Debian and hope that it
will reboot windows.

To resolve this, remove Debian completely and reformat the hard disk and
reinstall Windows 10. Problem solved.

To run debian, you need to buy a new machine and install it on it by
wiping the disk clean first. Don't mix the two.

where are you clicking on 'reboot'? Hint: on Windows 10, the power
button commands are usually 'sleep', 'shut down' and 'restart' (not
'reboot'...) and the user buttons are 'change account settings', 'lock',
'sign out', and then any other accounts set up on that system.

You tried to use a command which isn't present in Windows 10? Why?

Thanks in advance.

May I suggest that you RTFM?

That's going to be difficult to debug.

Someone here had some sort of problem with the RTC and
the state bits (which record at chipset level, whether
the hardware is hibernated and the hiberfile should be
consulted at startup). Their solution was pulling the
CMOS battery, a desperate move. If you have any custom
settings in the BIOS, you should write them down somewhere,
before unplugging the computer and pulling the CMOS
coin cell battery.

There might not be any evidence of the problem in

perfmon /rel

The Reliability Monitor records entries related to
crashing and so on.

Evidently, to find if the cause is in Windows 10 or in the BIOS.
If it works in Debian, that eliminates the BIOS.
A straightforward and effective Comparative Test.

Ok, I was in wrong 'reboot' icon about. It's 'restart'. But meaning
problem was same.
And then I installed Debian, as dual boot, because I use it too.
So I tried if here there was same problem as windows.

I forgot to say you that I set bios as legacy both Oses because my
Graphic card isn't Uefi compatible (HD 5450 Radeon).

I believe is Bios problem setting or windows. I don't Know. At the end
I think the problem is only on windows and not in Debian. So...

Greetings.

There is a group policy setting for this. "Google reset settings group
policy."

Mmmm... and should I reset everything settings or someone? Are you sure?
I'm confused.
