Windows XP Home edition on Laptop, DVD/CD-R combination
drive, Easy CD Creator 5 Basic software. No major
problems making Music CD's, watching DVD movies in DVD
drive, making CD-RW disks for data information.

I would like to be able to copy my old VHS tapes on CD-R
disks, and make a backup copy of some of my older DVD
movies that have seen alot of play time.

Opinions and/or suggestions about some of these recently
advertised DVD downloadable software applications that
are supposed to do all these things, easy, fast, and
their prices are ranging from $20.00 to $70.00. Has
anyone tried any of this stuff? Examples of software I
am talking about DVD Professional -- Backup Buddy are
just two of about 6 I have received ads on.
