How do I remove desktop icons from Guest user?
Guest user accounts are, by default, "Limited Use". Whenever I download
anything it appears on that desktop page too. I can't remove these icons because it's a "Limited Use" account. Any suggestions? -- Peter. Windows XP Home SP1. Pentium 4 @ 3.00ghz, 160gb HD, 1.00gb DDR |

Log on with an account that has Administrator rights. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Desktop. (Where user name is the Guest Account that you wish to configure.) Delete the icons in that Desktop folder. -- Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User Please reply to the newsgroup so all may benefit. http://www.dts-l.org http://www.mvps.org |
