printing problems
 

I have windows xp home edition on a hp7950 and hp deskjet
648 printer. I can only print back to front in page
order even with a change in printer properties. It does
it in all applications. Any suggestions?

There are now updated drivers for this printer on the HP website. Try an
uninstall and reinstall of the printer and use the new drivers to see
whether this problem is now fixed.

There are three separate steps and all three must be complete for XP to
'see' the new drivers.

Disconnect the printer.

Go into the Control Panel, Add/Remove programs and uninstall any printer
software.

Then go to Printers & Faxes and right click and delete your printer.

Reboot the PC. Do NOT reconnect the printer. Go back to Printers & Faxes
in the Control Panel and from the toolbar, select File, Server Properties.

In the drivers tab, delete all the entries for the printer.

Reboot the PC. Do NOT reconnect the printer.

Download a new set of drivers from the printer manufacturer's website at

Follow the instructions at the printer manufacturer's website at
http://tinyurl.com/6tdp and only
connect the printer when the software tells you to do so.
