Local Power User on domain

I feel like I am overlooking something silly, but for the life of me can't
figure it out. I have windows XP SP3 workstations on a SBS2003 domain. And
yes, I know this isn't normal, but it's a strange situation. All of the
users need to be power users on the individual workstation and are in a
security group. If I add that domain group to the local administrators group
on the workstation, they get administrative rights. However, when I remove
them from the local administrators group and add them to the power users
group, they are not receiving power user rights. (can't change power
settings, see hidden folders, etc). For the life of me, I cannot figure out
why I can add a domain security group to a local administrators group and it
works fine, but cannot add that same group to the power users group. Any
help or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

Local Power User on domain

Hi Johnny,

What I did in my AD is just only allow user to have user permission rights.
To allow users to change the power settings, just follow this link
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/915160.

Hope this might help you.
