In our network with Windows 2008 DC's, many of our XP PC's with Media Player
11 can not play XM Radio or mms url's or even wmv files off the internet.
On the flip side, many of our desktop PC's can. Even two of our Domain
Admins have this issue. It's doesn't appear to be a firewall, GP or web
filter problem. It also doesn't appear to be a file association problem
either. Now if a one of the "affected" Dom Admin logs into a PC with a local
admin account eveything that didn't work now works.

Any thoughts?

Just wondering...what firewall are you
running on the affected systems?

No local "PC" firewall, Watchguard is used for the network. Waht's even more
interesting, is if you stand up a new/old PC that has service pack 2, there
is no problem. After installing SP3 for XP things change....

It's quite a mystery...

Good luck solving it...
