"use printer offline" as default--can't change it

I use a Samsung ML 1340 laser printer. It is my default
printer, but it usually resets itself to "use printer
offline." When I unclick that setting, the printer won't
print until I have turned it and the computer off and
started over.

I know that setting "use printer offline" is supposed to
be for networked printers. My printer isn't networked;
it's connected by a USB part to my computer. I can't
find an answer to this anywhere. Ideas?

Thanks, Sarah Wilcox

You asked this question 10 years ago (on multiple forums)! Did you ever find a solution?
