xp fax hangs up line bussy but still ringing
 
have printed my document to ms xp fax wiz filed in details
modem diles but hangs up before recivere ansawers, if there is a long delay
3 rings If ansawerd on first ring all is well

any help please

xp fax hangs up line bussy but still ringing
 
You can keep your modem occupied longer by adding several commas to the end
of the number you're dialing. Each comma adds a two second pause to the
dialing sequence; adding several should keep the timeout from starting long
enough for the other end to respond.

recipiants fax waits for 7 rings so had to add 16 commmers thanks for the help

Alternately you can go to the "modem properties" dialog, go to Advanced
Option and change the default value for "Cancel the call if not connected
within" setting from 60 secs to something more than that.
