IE unwanted maximizing

How can I prevent internet explorer from (unwanted!) maximizing
automatically when browsing certain sites?
I think this is very rude and should be left to users choice themselves...

This is a problem with some websites, not IE, I suspect.
Can you post the URL of a web page which does this?

Of course it isn't! IE should only obey the user as regards to window
resizing, opening closing or moving.

Good question... afraid I have forgotten by now. Anyway, I had dumped the
site immediately because I hate it when my browser (or other applications
windows or desktop) get reorganised without my permission.

BTW sorry for off topic.
