Error when renewing Host's IP address

I've been troubleshooting my network between my XP
computer (host) and Win 98 computer (client) for about a
month now. I can share files and printers, but not
internet.

Yesterday, I was trying to renew the IP address for my
network adapter on the host and I got this error message:
Unable to contact your DHCP server. I've tried manually
setting the IP address but that still doesn't allow me to
share internet. I keep getting DNS server is not
repsonding on my client computer.

Error when renewing Host's IP address

1. Yes, it is possible dns issue.
2. Do you have router or use ICS?
3. post the results of ipconfig /all here.
