Which Windows 10 switch *remembers* Run commands?

Thanks for that super not obvious suggestion which can only be borne from
experience that you had that I did not have!

At the moment, I'm tentatively anointing Bob as a genius ... because it
does appear to work and it does not appear to show most recently used
"apps" ... so it's confusing ... which is why you're the genius...

PROBLEM SUMMARY:
Commands typed into "start run" were not remembered.

SOLUTION SUMMARY:
Start Settings PC Settings Personalization Start

To turn off start-run memory, turn off "Show most used apps".

This disables the reverse-order fedcba memory in the registry key:
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\RunMRU

To turn on start-run memory, turn on "Show most used apps".

Hopefully, it doesn't show any idiotic "recently used apps" icons!

Added windowsxp just so that it would be archived in degagoogle forever so
others can find it in the future with a keyword search.

Harry,

Why is this Win10 answer posted in an *XP* group ? Also, there are *three*
other versions between Win10 and XP ...

(I've removed the "microsoft.public.windowsxp.general" newsgroup from this
follow-up Its therefore quite likely I won't read your reply. Just take it
as a "WTF bub?" remark)

Rudy Wieser

Lol.

I wanted to remove this newsgroup from the follow-upt, but somehow forgot to
actually *do* it ...

I already explained *exactly* why in the very post you're responding to.
Didn't you see it? (HINT: Look in the sig.)

I understand that you might not *agree* with my clear & obvious logic.
But I *clearly* explained why in the very post you responded to.

Harry,

Nope, I didn't. Sigs are the place where "smart" lines go to die -- because
of endless repetition, boring the **** outof everyone who sees them more
than a couple of times. As a result I ignore most of them, just as I do
spam.

And putting an explanation about your post in the *signature line* ? Yeah,
thats exactly where you should be doing that kind of stuff. Not.

I understand that you might not *agree* with my clear & obvious logic.

And your "logic" for dropping your *unrelated junk* into this newsgroup is
to be certain that your post will be saved into prosperity ? Why ?
Its already present in the Win10 group, and so that "degagoogle" will
already archive it. Wat good does it do to have *two* copies of it on file
?

Nope, although your reasoning might, to you, look to be "clear & obvious
logic" at the surface, just a little dip below it shows its
complete-and-utter rubbish ...
