Surprisingly, AOL is probably correct this time. This is not likely to be
their fault.

(Did I just say that?)

Anyway... your system is crashing, and when it reboots, it's telling you
that they system hive of the registry is corrupt.

It's *extremely* doubtful (but still possible) that a corrupt registry is
causing the crash. The corrupt registry could be an effect of the crash.

Do this: go to control panel, advanced, startup and recovery, and uncheck
the box that says automatically reboot.

Next time the computer crashes, tell us what the numbers are on the blue
screen.

Also, schedule a nightly system state backup. This copies the registry to
another location on your hard drive (c:\windows\repair\regback) so that a
complete rebuild won't be necessary if/when the machine crashes. (It doesn't
matter where you back up to.)

Lastly, if you get this corrupt system file again, run chkdsk from the
recovery console and see if that fixes the problem.

If problems happen again, let us know!
