My HD changed its name and I can't rename it (not the drive letter)
I don't know how this could have happened but one of my internal hard drives
changed its name to the name of one of my files residing on that drive. Now it has a long 4 word name and no matter what I do, I can't rename it. The funny thing is that I when I go to Disk Management I see the old name (Photos), but the Explorer shows it as "Illinois Rules of the Road". Please if you know how to fix this, I'd appreciate your help. Thanks in advance. Skysi |

Look for an autorun.inf file in the root of the drive and rename it to
autorun.txt, if it exists. You may have to configure explorer's "Folder options" to show hidden files and extensions if you have them hidden. "feurio" wrote in message ...
