Printing from Internet Explorer v6.0 SP2
I'm running Windows XP Pro, SP2, + all updates and IE v6.0 SP2 + all updates.
I have an HP 845c Deskjet connected via a USB cable. When I attempt to print a web page, any web page, directly from IE, all I get is the header and the footer from the page. I also see a similar problem when attempting to print an e-mail message in MEMO format using Outlook 2003. The only thing that prints is the header. I can print from any other program without no problems. I have copied/pasted info from IE and Outlook to Word and printed with no problems. SOMEONE HELP!......I've searched MS Knowledge base with no solution to be found. I've tried some of the KB suggestions even though they don't necessarily apply to my versions etc....still no print!......HELP! |
You don't actually say what you have tried so try this if you haven't. Open
Internet Explorer, click Tools, Internet Options and then click the Advanced tab. Remove the check from "Enable third-party browser extensions". You must then shut down and restart Internet Explorer for this to take effect. PattyL "Dave the Sys. Admin." wrote in message ... Thanks for the suggestion PattyL....unfortunately, it doesn't appear to have
had an effect. Same result when printing a web page and printing an e-mail. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the printer/software multiple times, using a variety of OEM suggested methods, at this point, after your suggestion, I think I've tried changing every setting possible in the Internet Options area. I've used multiple virus/SPAM scanning s/ware to ensure that nothing had sneaked in and screwed up any files.... feel free to suggest anything at all. If I've tried it, I'll try it again and let you know.....I've done so many different things, it's all a blur.........but this REALLY SUCKS! Here's a couple more suggestions:
Clear temporary Internet and temp files using the Disk Cleanup utility (Accessories, System Tools). Then see these articles. Web Page or E-mail Message Does Not Print or Preview Correctly in Internet Explorer 5.5 and Outlook Express 5.5 http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=271583 Only the Text at the Top of the Web Page Is Printed http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=272518 PattyL "Dave the Sys.
