Is there a Windows 7 newsgroup?
 

Looked under all microsoft.public.windows.* but can't find anything that
looks like Windows 7. Am looking for something similar to this (basics).

Never was, never will be. Microsoft has quit the NNTP service, and wants
everybody in their "Social" web groups. I think these are what you are

If you had a decent newsreader, instead of that Live Mail thing,
you'd be able to search newsgroups with "windows7" in their names,
and you'd find alt.windows7.general. It has the usual complement of
kooks, but also some quite helpful people, and I recommend it.
