Windows XP SP2 Do I need it
 
I have a relatively new computer 6/04 and I have Windows XP do I still need
to run the SP2?

I assume you at least have SP1 because support through Windows Update has
ceased for no SP versions of XP. That said, yes you need SP2 just like any
other XP user. It's more safe and secure, it works better and faster,
supports more features and, in fact, has had several updates since first
release. If you haven't got SP1, don't npther with that, SP2 includes all
updates from day 1.
To prepare for it check he

Basically make sure you are free of spyware and viruses and that your
drivers are up to date.
Depending on your connection speed you can opt for download or a free CD.
