Aida32 program question

Hope this makes sense. :-)

I have 2 harddrives. 40 GB Seagate , this one came with my PC no
installation CD. I also have a 120 GB Western Digital.

I have a retail version of WINDOWS XP and the Seagate didn't come with a CD,
so I used the licensed version and put in the Product Key for the OEM
version. Now on the Aida32 program it shows that the version is retail and
it gives the Product ID as an OEM?? . I purchased the retail for my 120 GB
Western Digital. Is there somewhere I check in the system files (Registry)
for this information?

Thanks bunches, Donna J.

Aida32 program question

Hi Peter,
Just want to make sure when I set up my other harddrive that I can use my
licensed version with no trouble. I don't have them both hooked up and it is
showing the information for my old harddrive.
Sorry didn't mean to confuse anyone. Just wondering if this information
(licensed instead of OEM version) is stored in the registry somewhere.
Thanks,
Donna J.

The license is for the computer, not the individual drives. Slap as many
HDs in there as you want - only one license is needed. You don't need to
get another copy of Windoze for that machine.

Val,
thanks, my PC didn't come with a CD and I had to purchase one. What a
shame. I had asked HP about a CD within one week and getting my PC but he
reassured me that I wouldn't need one and I could do a full recovery from
the partition that was on my hard drive. Well that didn't work either.
Thanks,
Donna J.
