Hello Group-

Hope everyone's having a good summer and beating the heat..

Would anyone happen to know of a video rendering software that will import
the video content on mini DVD's recorded with a mini DVD camcorder? My
current ArcSoft Showbiz DVD 2 software will not import all the video files
from the disks, it only imports the first chapter of video from the disks
and AS does not have an explaination for it.

If anyone knows of a fix or codec or an alternate software I could use it
would be very much appreciated.

You can try microsoft encoder for importing the software plus it can
"convert"
it,thiers also a SDK version from MSDN @ microsoft. Also, its utilities might
help,
get them at:

Thank you for your reply to my posting. However I have Windows Media
Encoder and all it seems to really do is covert audio and video files into
Windows file formats. I don't seem to find anywhere in it's interface where
I would import raw DVD video from mini DVD's recorded with a mini DVD
Camcorder.

Thank you anyway, but I'm not really interested in VirtualDubMod that
requires numerous confusing steps just import simple video content from
DVD's. From my experience with it and the last time you suggested it I
ended up after about an hour of useing it had to uninstall it out of
frustration. It asks for too much to import video such as compression, size
ect. All I really want is the video content from my mini DVDs that were
recorded with a mini DVD camcorder that will import them exactly as they are
written on the disk without having to manually select the import settings as
you do with VDM.

If anyone else knows of a fix or a freeware or some other codec or even a
fix for ArcSoft Showbiz DVD2 that will import the video content from mini
DVD's please send along.

Thank you again.

My website page includes posts about a dozen other apps... posts by others
who have had positive experiences with them.... they are not apps I
personally use but I pass the pointers along.

Note... I switched from VirtualDubMod to VirtualDub MPEG2 a while ago, but
the steps to get from disc to Movie Maker are the same so I'm not suggesting
you try it. I just want others who read this thread to get the right app..

With regard to Windows Media Encoder. Could anyone tell me what Server and
Publishing Point I use to push a live broadcast?

Thank you again!
