Next ?...how to import OE 6 settings, addy book and mail from old HD?
 

Why don't you go to your ToolsAccounts, in OE and click on the Mail tab,
and delete what accounts you don't want or are not yours or delete them all
and start over. If your complaint is your receiving email with your name or
parts of your name in the address, there is not much you can do about that.
You just have to stop entering your email account at websites or ask who
ever is to stop.

LOL...OK, I've only tried that several tens of times. No matter what
I do, email from users of this computer (there are 4 ) shows up as
"from" me (my first and last name). I don't understand how that
happens as I have NEVER input my name into any setup of; this computer
and XP OS, any "identity" setup or any OE account setup. So where is
my name getting into the "from" header of any outgoing mail from this
computer?

Is it possible, I wonder, if my ISP adds the "account holder" name
to outgoing email?

If not my ISP, I'm stumped. I make it a point to NEVER enter my real
name into ANY setup box involving any program, including the OS. I
think it's hilarious to get spam stating that "NONEYOUBIZ...you have
already been approved for a $100,000 loan. You are PRE-Approved!!"

Somewhere there's a guy named "Mr. Noneyabiz" who has credit out the
patootie, gets "newsletters" from everybody...and might have some
naked women just DYING to "be" with him. Unfortunately his mail comes
to me. LOL

Anyway, what you think?
