Windows Messenger not linking to Hotmail Email
 

Before format Windows messenger used to link to Hotmail
inbox, now it seems to link to Outlook.
I used Outlook before when it used to link to Hotmail.
Can't see any settng that I can change.
How do I get it to link to hotmail inbox again, but still
use Outlook as my default email app?

Greetings Barb,

Which version of Windows Messenger are you using? If you're using Windows Messenger 5,
Hotmail is no longer supported, and will simply open your default e-mail handler (Outlook)
and you'll need to use Windows Messenger 4.7 instead
(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/messenger). If you're using Windows Messenger 4.7, the
Hotmail functionality will only work if you've installed the MSN Add-In:

and are using an active Hotmail.com or MSN.com Passport.
