How stop printer auto search?

How can I stop XP in a workgroup from automatically adding every
printer on the network, whether it is shared or not, to the list of
printers. For example, the Fax printer on my PC shows up in the list of
printers on other XP machines on the network.

1) Is there a way to configure XP so that only shared printers will be
automatically added?

2) Is there a way to configure XP so that no printers will be
automatically added.

Open My Computer, somewhat illogically it's the first item under
ToolsFolder Options. (Automatically search for shared printers)

It's an odd place since the shell team provides this functionality. Shared
Files as well.
