XP and IE 6.1 problem
 

I.E. gives an error message similar to this:
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and must close. I
tried upgrading to 7.1 and got the same message. I uninstalled
I. E., rebooted, and reinstalled it. I get the same message.

I don't have the pc here so I don't know the exact message if
that is needed.

Any ideas as to what is wrong?

I don't know why or how this fixed the problem. Adobe Acrobat reader
had diasappeared from the computer some how. When it was reinstalled
the I.E. worked again.
