Monitoring Event Log Via E-mail

I am interested in monitoring the event logs from one of my clients who has
about 12 XP PRO sp1 and sp2 computers.
What I would like to do is have an E-mail automatically sent to me when
anything other than an 'information' type event is recorded in these logs.
Is this possible without installing commercial software?

Thank you in advance.

You would need a third-party application, such as:

EventMeister

Get Windows XP Service Pack 2 with Advanced Security Technologies:

Allan,

I think this is possible using Scripting / WMI. You may try the scripting
newsgroups for this.

Example:
http://groups.google.co.in/group/mic... 01f615733a2e3

Microsoft Public Newsgroups:
http://aumha.org/nntp.php

Thank you for the suggestion.
I think I might purchase a commercial program if I can not find a free
version.
